Plot
The series revolves around Seung-Nyang Ki (Ha Ji-Won), a Goryeo-born woman who ascends to power despite the restrictions of the era's class system, later marrying Emperor Togon (Ji Chang-Wook) to become an empress of the Yuan Dynasty. The series depicts her love and political ambitions as she is torn between the two nations.
